John S. McClelland II, MD, FACCDr. McClelland graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University in 1972 and obtained his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1977. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama Medical Center, and went on to complete his Cardiology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.

 Before joining Louisiana Cardiology Associates in 1985, Dr. McClelland operated his own private practice. Since then, he has served as both the Cardiology Chief of Staff and as Chief of Staff of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOL). Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for OLOL, a position he has held since 2005.

 He is also a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society, the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association. Dr. McClelland is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
